Moritz Moll

Come Outside to Play

About Moritz Moll ... more >

Moritz Moll (*1991) completed his painting studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (AdBK) in 2021. His works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Germany, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

In his paintings, Moritz Moll explores the interstices of everyday life, intimate moments of being unobserved, of drifting off, of concentration.

Using oil, acrylic and spray colours on canvas, the artist captures the intimacy of the everyday. His works transport the viewer into calm yet vivid daydreams.

Through the juxtaposition of neutral space and fine lines, Moll balances his motifs between consciousness and dream state. The viewer can thus explore the spaces of the everyday, moments in which one is unobserved and allows oneself to drift.

The artist's work is characterised by a colour palette that is both sensitive and intense, often surprising, and his subjects are brought to life through layers and textures, accompanied by sketchy brushstrokes applied in quick and loose movements. Moritz Moll explores both the form and material of his motifs by playing with two- and three-dimensionality, sending the viewer on a visual journey.

A small catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition.
